Having presented the very funny and eventful MacAulay and Co on BBCRadio Scotland for almost 18 years and with a string of tv appearancessince 1995, Fred’s on air witticisms and on screen reputation are theproduct of years of experience on the live circuit, including a stint asthe first ever-Scottish compere at the Comedy Store in London.He has successfully featured in and presented many programmes forBBC TV: still fondly remembered for co-hosting the talk show McCoistand MacAulay and on national television, he has been a panelistnumerous times on shows including Mock the Week, QI and Have I GotNews For You.In addition he was a guest on The Late Late Show with Craig Fergusontwice on US television and his performance at The Montreal ComedyFestival has been shown coast to coast in North America.Over the past two decades Fred has featured on many BBC Radio 4comedy panel shows like: I'm Sorry I Haven't a Clue, Just A Minute,The Unbelievable Truth and The News Quiz and during Lockdown hehas introduced a huge number of new (and old) comedians in hisRadio4 Series “Fred At The Stand” series 4 of which was broadcast inAutumn 2021.He lasted 7 out of 11 nights when he sang on Comic Relief Does FameAcademy. Further charity challenges saw him kayak the CaledonianCanal for Sport Relief, he has climbed Mt Kilimanjaro and his WestHighland Way walk was broadcast on STV.In December 2021 Fred was one of the team of four who won one ofthe highest amounts ever (£116,000) for their chosen charities on ITV’sTHE CHASE.In May 2021 Fred joined Bauer media’s Scottish network and presentshis show every Sunday from 10am to 1pm in association withTUNNOCKS(Clyde2/Forth2/Tay2/Westsound/MorayFirthRadio/Northsound/Borders).Fred will be on tour around Scotland in June and July before headingback in Edinburgh for his 33rd Fringe in August 2022.
